What PantryPal is

PantryPal keeps track of what's in your kitchen and suggests things to cook with it. Some recipes are written by us; some are generated by AI from the ingredients you picked.

Cook like the AI might be wrong

AI-generated recipes and nutrition numbers are estimates, and sometimes they will be off. Cook meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs to safe temperatures, and double-check anything involving allergies or dietary restrictions. PantryPal is not medical or nutrition advice.

Your chefs

A chef is a name and a shelf, kept on your device only. Several people can share a phone and keep separate kitchens. There are no passwords, so anyone holding your unlocked phone can open any chef — the device’s own lock is what protects them.

The Season Pass

Most of PantryPal is free forever: your shelf, the bundled recipe book the home screen ranks against it, and every recipe you keep. The Season Pass unlocks the AI — scanning a receipt or your fridge, recipes written from your own shelf, a fresh dish waiting every time that shelf changes, and drawings for whatever you stock. Without a pass you still get one free scan, two AI recipes — the chef usually writes them for your shelf before you ask — and five drawings, so you can see the thing before you buy it.

The pass is an auto-renewing subscription and comes two ways: $4.99 per month, or $29.99 per year with the first 7 days free. Both unlock exactly the same features — the yearly plan is simply cheaper per month. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your own currency and it may differ by region.

Renewing, cancelling and refunds

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that date at the price in force then.

You can manage or cancel it whenever you like, in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from Settings › Season pass › Manage inside PantryPal. Cancelling stops the next charge and nothing else — the pass keeps working until the period you already paid for runs out. If you take the 7-day trial and then buy a subscription before it ends, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.

Apple sells the pass, not us, so billing questions and refunds go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Fair use

The scanning and recipe services exist for your kitchen, not for bulk or automated use. Don't hammer them.

As-is

PantryPal is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for what you cook or how it turns out — though we're rooting for you.

Changes

As PantryPal grows, these terms will grow with it. The current version always lives right here in the app.
